Gawler with Elle
Since we arrived in Adelaide, we have gone some walks and visited some friends family. Her name is Elle. The first day she brought us to Victor Harbor and from there we went Granite Island. You had to walk across a long bridge to get there. After a walk we had some ice cream (we are doing this quite a lot). Yesterday, we went to the a place called the Whispering Wall. It is a dam that when you whisper at one end of the wall you can hear them 150m away like they are standing beside you. It was cool. From there we went to a wine region where we stopped for lunch. Once again, I had pizza and more ice cream. Back to Elle's house, we visited with her nephew who just broke an Australian record for driving fast across the desert. He went 320kmh!
Halls gap
Five days ago we went on a five hour road trip to Adelaide and it was not an exciting drive, it was only fields beyond fields with the road being straight. Over the last few days or so, we have seen tons of kangaroos and one of them hopped over a fence. Also, we had a nice cottage in a town called Halls Gap and the Kangaroos let you come right up to them and they come right up to the cottage. We went on a hike up a mountain. The hike started in a canyon where the rocks felt like they were closing in on us. At one point, we could touch both sides of the walls. At the top we could see our cottage, after we slowly made our way down the mountain. On another walk we did I got a book called First Field Guide To Australian Mammals it tells about marsupial's and other types of Australian mammals. We also saw our first echidna.

Melbourne
Five days ago we went to a AFL footy game, and the Roo's won by 14 points. The AFL footy is like Australia's football. Later we went to Matthew's basketball game ,and he won, he was lucky he won because it was the finals in his league. The next day my mom & dad went to Melbourne, while they were there I drew a cricket player that I'll show later, I was also doing it while we were waiting for Matthew to pick us up. When they picked us up we watched part of an Ironman competition, then we played cricket, went swimming and then more playing cricket. After, when my mom & dad got there, we had a BBQ and if you can believe it, we played more cricket.
The next day we left to Apollo Bay. On the drive my dad spotted our first wild koala that are scarce, then we played around the sight. Then the following day we went on a walk and saw 37 koalas in their special trees called gum trees, then we went swimming and then played around with a little boy named Otchu. Then we ate, watched MKR and went to bed. The next day we I woke up and hight the flying fox, then a class of high school kids showed up. They kept on cheering me on when I was doing tricks on the flying fox. Then I went swimming again and swam 19 lengths of the pool. Then we ate and went to bed. Today we came to pals gap.

AUSTRALIA !
Three days ago we had are last day in New Zealand. Me and my dad took one last walk up to the sheep and horses, when we got back we couldn't find our keys so the people drove us to the airport. At the airport we said are good byes and then flew 4 hours to get to malbourne, in malbourne Ain picked us up after we landed. When we got to their house we chatted a little bit and then my mom found the keys and then we went to bed.
Yesterday morning we got up and went to a sanctuary. At the sanctuary we saw 4 koalas, 3 emues, reptiles, wombats, we went to the night zone were we saw some other animals, dingoes, cockatoos, lots of different endangerd birds, I got to go in the kangaroos enclosure where we saw a joey in it's moms pouch, we also went in the wallabies enclosure, I got to feed and pet it and I got a bird to land on my arm. After we ate lunch and then drove to their grand kids house, after we went to bed. One thing I wanted to see but I didn't was an echidna.
Today I am going to an AFL game with Matthew, his dad, Braden and my dad. In the game the Kangaroos and the Tigers are playing. After were going to Matthew's game we go back to their house to have a BBQ, play cricket, maybe play with their dog named Colby and maybe go swimming in their pool.

5 day catch up
Five days ago we left from Piha, NZ to go to coromandel. In Coromandel, we went to a funny place called Water Works where there are lots of cool creations that worked in some way with water. For example, a bike that when you pedalled shot water and I got my dad wet with a few hidden hoses. The next day, we left for Hahei, and stopped at New Chums Beach. Then at Hahei, we got to our room - it was not exactly what we thought we asked for. Our room was just a little box with a bunk bed, a bed and a fridge, because the room was so small we had to leave most of our luggage in the trunk of the car. We took a walk to cathedral cove because we were told we could finally snorkel there but the waves were too big so we weren't allowed and we weren't allowed to go in the water at Gemstone or sting ray beach. We went back to the camp and changed for dinner. We went out for dinner and had a huge chocolate milkshake. At 6:30 we left and drove to hot water beach where we were suppose to dig a hole and sit in it. Why you may ask? The hot water from the ground was volcanic. But we had no luck here either because the water was too wavy due to the cyclone from figi making its way to NZ. So we went back to our room and went to bed.
In the morning we picked up and hit the beach. We watched the beginning of a triathlon. After we came to whangamata. In Whangamata we hit the beach with the big waves, after we came we went souvenir shopping. The next day we hung out at one of our bigger, nicer rooms, that night we watched The Perfect Game. Today we played a tournament of bocce ball, next we played tennis for a little bit, finally we played in the pool and hot tub. The cyclone was not to bad and Bye......

The Fun In Wanaka
Two days ago I drove from fox to wanaka. On the way we stopped at lake Matheson and the blue pools which is made of glacier water that I crossed to the other side and back in shorts with rapids. At are hotel/cottage there was a pool with three slides, a trampoline and a climber. Yesterday we went to wanaka's puzzle land, there was about 160 little puzzles, an illusion room, a maze wear you had to get in the four towers. Later on we went to a clip & climb, the climbing walls were in the dark, made of ropes, timed with normal pegs, face to face with glass with normal pegs, diagonal, and short pipes at the clip & climb. Today we drove back to Queenstown.

The second boat ride
Yesterday we had an early start to the day, at 9:00 a.m. we went to the beach and got on are first boat. On our first boat ride of the day we went to a beach, we saw a three foot long sting ray swimming at the shore line and we went on a beautiful hike. When the boat picked us up for our last stop we went on a little walk to a swing bridge and a waterfall. After the walk we went to a different beach and walked out into the water about 100 metres! After that we got our last ride back we got a banana and chocolate chip muffin when we got back to the beginning at 5:50. When we got back we went on a big flying fox that was really fun. Did you know that a flying fox is a zip line, bye see you next time.....

The rugby ball
Today I drove to Kaikoura and I went on a ground trampoline, went in a pool and walked around the ocean. On the walk around the ocean we saw 6 starfish, hundreds of snails, about 10 seals, we saw 2 shags and some sea urchins. Tonight we got our apartment near the ocean. At our room there's a really big blow of wind that's going to last a few more days. My mom scared me when she screamed because she almost stepped on a seal. After we went to a store and bought an all black rugby ball. Did you know that the All Blacks are one of the most famous rugby teams of all time in the world wide league.

The Waterpark
Today I went to a awesome mini golf course about 2 hours after I woke up this mourning. After mini golf we went write to a waterpark with a lazy river, two water slides and one toilet bowl, three thermal pools, three hexagonal pools but only was open. My favorite water slide was the toilet boul which starts with a tube which leeds to a boul and then drops into another tube which finshes the ride at the bottom. Today I'm going back to the water park after I eat dinner.

Different Pengiuns
Yesterday we drove to Oamaru, in are hotel room there's no washroom. We have to go out of are room to go to the washroom and have showers. After we went to bushe beach and saw yellow eyed penguins and seals. My dad went down to the beach because he saw people walking on it when they werern't aloud. My dad showed us that there was a baby penguin, in a nest we think.
Today my dad locked the keys in the cars so we went mini putting well my dad worked to get them out. When he got the keys we went to the Morueka boulders and we climed the boulder's. When we were finished climing the boulder's, we forgot my bathing suit so I went in the salt water in my boxer shorts. We also went to another sanctuary and saw hundreds of seals and about 13 yellow eyed pengiuns. Tonight we're going to see blue penguins. Blue penguins are about one foot tall and weigh about two pounds. Blue penguins stick in groups called a raft which has about 20 to 30 blue penguins in it.

Milford Sound
Milford Sound
Hi, today was my first night in Milford Sound and I went to a cool lake called Mirror Lake Lake. There's an upside down sign, but when you look into the lake the sign says mirror lake. At mirror lake I saw my first robin and trout in Milford Sound, New Zealand.
Later, I went on a cruise that was 2 hours long. On my cruise I saw about 25 seals flopping around, sleeping and waving on the rocks. I also got soaking wet under the cool waterfalls. My captain on my cruise said that there's many different species of sharks around where we were on the cruise. He also said that they've seen a five and a half metre great white shark swimming next to one of their other cruise boats in the same spot as us.
Afterwards, I saw a family of four kea birds, with two babies and two adults. I was disappointed because I didn't see a kiwi bird. People from New Zealand said you can only find kiwi birds in captivity. I saw some not very exiting ones like a lot of ducks and geese. I also saw a lot of sheep, some horses, deer, el paca and dairy farms. After the cruise I also went through a 1273 metre long.
Jet boating
Hi guys. Three days ago I went on a shot over jet, which is pretty much a jet that goes 85km an hour. I felt like I was going to puke. When I was on the shot over jet I got so close to the sides of the river and I got soaking wet.
I tried Vegemite and it tastes like termites. Before jet boating, I went gold panning at the Chinese settlement in Arrowtown. We went through some huts, stores and we saw a lot of different ruins. The Chinese people went to New Zealand to get gold from the river. After I went gold panning I got a vanilla milkshake that was the size of my moms foot.
I learned more about cricket and rugby. Late two mornings I got on the road again for about two and a half hours. After lunch I went to an awesome park with a lake close to it and it was pretty warm in the lake. I swam in two different places of the lake. After I played mini golf with Braden and then me and Braden got two Popsicles when we got back to the cabin.

I might go to the airport early if it's snowing so they don't have to worry about driving us. Did you know that a few sayings in New Zealand are : "Bob's your uncle" which means "Well, there you have it " , also "Get off the grass" means "stop pulling my leg, get out of here, no way!" , chicken is called chook in New Zealand and my family is going to be called loopies .Can you guess what that means if you can't it means your a tourist.

Here is some information about Australia (I'll write some another time about New Zealand). Australia is located below the equator in the Southern Hemisphere. To the east is the Pacific Ocean, and to the west is the Indian Ocean. They play a lot of sports similar to ours, but also some that are different. Similar ones include soccer, rugby, tennis and golf. Different sports are Aussie Rules Football, cricket and surfing. Some of their famous landmarks include the Sydney Opera House, the Twelve Apostles, Ayers Rock (Uluru) and The Great Barrier Reef. In my next post, I'll write about some of their cool animals.
